Meet Emma Wiki
Emma Wiki was our beautiful store manager who had a talent in many things within our store including making a really good brew of coffee, arranging flowers, styling homewares and making work so much fun with her humor and banter she would share along with us. Before she left to Melbourne with her beautiful young family last year in October she managed our store and was within the Alexmarie team for 4 years. We sat down with her to learn a little more about her experience within the team at Alexmarie so we could share with you guys how amazing she just was! So lets take a little trip to the past when we interviewed her..
Tell us a bit about you and your role at Alexmarie..
I am married with two young children, 5 and 8 years old. I love everything health and wellness and I look forward to my morning coffee every single day. I am the manager at Alexmarie which I absolutely love. I help guide all the girls with their daily tasks and keep them up to date with all the things homewares and flowers.
How would you describe your style?
I love interiors so working at Alexmarie has been a dream. I love all the neutral colours and I love texture. If I had to pick a colour to tie in with everything it would be a beautiful green like sage. My fashion loves are oversized jackets, coats and i love a good pair of jeans. Also neutrals, black or a pop of green.
What are you doing in your days when you're not working at Alexmarie?
My days consist of quality time with my husband and kids, walks outdoors, and sushi dates. The kids sports and activities are what I live for. I love watching my kids have fun with their team mates and watching them learn so much from working together.
What's on your wish list at the moment in store?
The Boucle Chair, The Empire Glass range and basically all of the Robert Gordon range.
What's one of your favourite parts about working at Alexmarie? What are you going to miss?
One of my favourite parts of working at Alexmarie is who I get to work with! I work with each of the staff and I love the relationships I've built with each of them. I will miss the team dynamic so much.
What does a typical day at Alexmarie look like for you?
My typical day at Alexmarie starts with making coffee for our regulars. I love making coffee! Then its working on the flowers, making bouquets for the floor or for orders. I wander through the store and tidy up all our beautiful products, then its time to take some nice pics for our social media and chatting with our lovely customers.
What is your go to coffee order?
Small almond flat white!
Do you have any favourite flowers?
White tulips!
We already miss Emma so much! But she says she is having an amazing time settling into Melbourne and we are already planning a little trip over to see her.
